Christchurch - 5 years on from the quake

    February 22, 2016

It seems that the post-quake camp in Christchurch is firmly split: those who feel like it was just yesterday and those who feel like they've lived an entire lifespan since 22 February 2011.

Besides changing the physical landscape of our city, the earthquakes have also changed the property investment landscape in ways that most of us could never have dreamed. Five years on it's good to take a moment to reflect and see how far we've come, and how far we still have to go.

The Press wrote an editorial today about Christchurch; an open letter to New Zealand about why all Kiwis shouldn't get tired of hearing about post-quake Christchurch, and what people here deal with on a daily basis. It makes a great read.
